It is a matter of pride that during the Golden Jubilee year 2002-2003 of The Diocese of Belgaum, Our Diocese Board of Education decided to build Fatima composite junior College as a Golden Jubilee Memorial.

The Belgaum Diocese Board of Education, under the chairmanship of Rt. Rev. Bernard Moras, Bishop of Belgaum, was keen to give a new thrust to education apostolate and explore the new avenues of higher education reaching out to the poor and marginalized. It was the vision of our Bishop Bernard Moras to start a college, which would inculcate social, moral and human values among the youth. More important is the formation of the youth and to mould them into responsible citizens of this great nation. The education imparted should not be devoid of the urge to serve the poor. Thus, the students should be assisted to build a good value system so that they involve in the process of promotion of a healthy society. With this vision Fatima Composite Junior College took birth in June 2002.

Thus, our college aims at all round development of the students not only laying emphasis on academic excellence but also on spiritual formation. Imparting of value-based education is our top priority. This enables the youth to face challenges in life such as exploitation, discrimination, caste prejudices and unemployment. There is a need to work and to promote communal harmony, social justice, brotherhood, peace and equality. The management and the staff with the cooperation of our well wishers and all concerned wish to achieve this noble goal for the glory of God.
